Questions

City of Industry Patient Questions

The questions we field most often at the Gale Avenue office. Tap one to open it.

  • Where is your City of Industry pain clinic located?

Our City of Industry clinic is at 18605 E Gale Ave, Suite 222, City of Industry, CA 91748, on Gale Avenue near Greenbay Drive and a few hundred yards from the CA-60.

  • Where do I park on Gale Avenue?

In the lot at 18605 E Gale Avenue, free of charge. The building has wheelchair-accessible entrances and restrooms, and the route from the lot to the exam room is step free.

  • What are your City of Industry office hours?

The Gale Avenue office is open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and closed on weekends. To book, or to ask whether something urgent needs to be seen sooner, call (833) 476-7377.

  • Which languages do you speak at this clinic?

Our City of Industry team provides care in English, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese. Mention which you prefer when you book.

  • What is nerve testing, and will I need it?

Electrodiagnostic testing, meaning EMG and nerve conduction studies, measures how your nerves and muscles are actually working. Dr. Kuo is certified in it, and he uses it when the cause of numbness, weakness or shooting pain is not obvious from the examination or the scan.

  • What happens at my first appointment on Gale Avenue?

The first visit is diagnostic. Dr. Kuo takes your history, reviews any imaging you have, examines you, and where the source of the pain is unclear he may order nerve testing. Bring your insurance card, photo ID, a list of your medications and any recent scans or reports.

  • Can this be treated without surgery or long-term medication?

Most of it is. Image-guided injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation and regenerative options such as platelet-rich plasma all avoid both surgery and long-term opioids. Dr. Kuo will explain which one your diagnosis points to and what the alternatives are.

  • Which insurance do you accept in City of Industry?

Medicare, most major carriers and many PPO plans, plus self-pay. Because coverage differs by plan and by procedure, the office verifies your benefits before the appointment and quotes any out-of-pocket cost up front.
